Hotel Ravine

We’ve been here in Mahipal Pur Extension for a while now. Being right off NH 8 means there is always noise from the traffic, but you get used to it after a week. Most people find us because they need a place close to the airport. It isn't anything fancy, just a building where we keep the rooms clean and the lights on. My cousin helps me at the front desk most afternoons. We see a lot of people just passing through for a night before their morning flight. The 110037 area is always busy with taxis and people rushing around. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings if everyone showers at once. We keep the lobby chairs near the window so you can watch the cars go by on the highway. It gets dusty because of all the construction nearby, so we spend half our day just wiping down the tables. Lunch is usually just something from the dhaba down the street. We don’t have those big fancy menus. If you need a towel, you just ask. It’s a basic setup for regular folks. We don’t use any of those big computer systems for everything, just a register and some keys. Some of the rooms face the back where it is a bit quieter. It’s just us running the place day in and day out. There isn't much more to it than that really.
