Ahilya Fort Heritage Hotel

We work out of C 387 Sudamapuri Gamri Extension in Delhi. This is the office where we handle things for the Ahilya Fort Heritage Hotel, even though the actual hotel is far away from this neighborhood. It’s a bit of a contrast because Sudamapuri is a very regular, crowded Delhi extension with narrow lanes and lots of local shops, while the hotel we represent is a very different kind of place. Our office is simple, just a room with some computers and a few phones that ring quite often throughout the day. We spend our time taking reservations and answering questions from people who want to visit the fort. The walls are mostly bare, maybe a calendar or a map pinned up here and there to help us keep track of things. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we have the fans going full speed most of the time. We aren't a big corporate team; there are just a few of us here making sure the bookings don't get messed up. Gamri Extension is a busy area, and there’s always the sound of scooters and street sellers right outside the door. We usually order in some food or bring tiffins from home for lunch. It’s a practical setup that allows us to manage the business without needing a fancy high-rise office. We’ve been at this address for a while and the locals know us as the hotel people.
