Hotel Opera

Our hotel is at A/422 in Mahipal Pur, on Road No 6. It’s very close to the IGI Airport, which is why most people end up here. The 110037 area is always moving, day and night. You can hear the planes taking off if you listen closely, but you get used to it pretty fast. The building is a bit squeezed between others on the street, like most places in Mahipal Pur. We have a small entrance and the lobby is usually full of suitcases. It isn't a place for a long vacation; it's mostly for people who have a flight the next morning or just landed and need to sleep. The rooms are basic and a bit small, but we try to keep the blankets clean. Sometimes the traffic on Road No 6 gets backed up, so it takes a while to get to the main gate. We have a few guys working here who help with the bags and check people in at odd hours of the night. It’s a bit of a hectic environment because of the airport rush. We don't offer much else besides a place to lie down. There are a lot of small shops around where you can get snacks or a cheap meal. It’s just a plain, functional building in a busy part of Delhi. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
