Hotel Metro Plaza

Hotel Metro Plaza is at 2695 Paharganj, in the Chuna Mandi area. Paharganj is a very famous part of Delhi, and it’s always crowded with travelers from all over the world. Our building is tucked into one of the busy streets where there’s always something going on. You have the smell of street food and the sound of rickshaw bells everywhere you turn. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how Chuna Mandi is. The hotel itself is a plain building with several floors. The elevator is small and slow, so many people just use the stairs anyway. The lobby is small and usually has a few bags sitting around. We spend a lot of time talking to guests about where to find the best tea or how to get to the train station. The staff has been working here for years and we know the neighborhood like the back of our hands. We don't use any fancy language to describe the rooms. They are just places to sleep in a very busy part of the city. The walls might have a few scuffs and the street noise definitely comes inside, but it’s an honest place. We aren't part of any big chain. It’s just a local business trying to get by in one of the most crowded spots in India. People stay here because they want to be in the middle of everything. It's dusty and noisy, but it’s real life in Delhi for us.
