Hotel Mantra Amaltas

Our place, Hotel Mantra Amaltas, is at 23 Mathura Road in Friends Colony West. If you know the Surya Hotel, we are diagonally opposite to it. This part of Delhi is always moving. We aren't a massive building, just a modest spot on a busy stretch. The traffic on Mathura Road can be a lot, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We handle most of the work ourselves. We don't have a uniform or a scripted way of talking to people. It’s just us. Sometimes the phone rings too much or we’re busy fixing something in one of the rooms. Friends Colony is a nice area, but we keep our place pretty basic. We see a mix of business people and some tourists who want to be near the main road for transport. We don't have a big restaurant, but there are places to eat nearby. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the flyovers and buildings go up around us. We just try to make sure the rooms are ready when someone shows up. It’s not a fancy lifestyle, but it keeps us busy. We don’t do much online stuff, mostly people find us because they’re driving past or staying in the neighborhood. It’s just a regular hotel run by regular people. We have a few staff members who have been with us for a long time, so we just get on with it. It’s a simple life here on Mathura Road and we stay busy.
