Paharganj is a place you either love or you just don't get, and we’ve been sitting right here at 4350 Main Bazar for a long time. It’s noisy outside from early morning until very late at night with all the rickshaws and people selling things on the street. If you walk out our front door, you’re immediately in the middle of all that chaos. We keep things pretty simple inside because that’s what works for us. The building has some years on it now, so you might see a scuff on the wall or hear the pipes humming when someone turns on a tap down the hall. Our staff has been around for years, mostly local guys who know where to get the best tea or which shops are actually fair with their prices. We don't have fancy stuff here, just rooms with beds and bathrooms that we try to keep as tidy as possible. Some days the internet is fast and other days it struggles a bit, especially when the weather is bad or the power flickers, which happens in this part of Delhi. We spend most of our time just making sure people have blankets when it’s cold or that the fans are working when the summer heat starts hitting hard. It’s a busy life here in the bazar and we are just a small part of it, trying to keep things moving along.
