Hotel Akshay Deluxe

Our place, Hotel Akshay Deluxe, is tucked away in Multani Dhanda, which is a busy little corner of Paharganj. If you know Delhi, you know how hectic 110055 can get on a normal day. There are narrow lanes everywhere and people are always rushing around with their bags. We've been at 9491/11 for a good while, just doing our thing and keeping the doors open. It’s not a quiet neighborhood, but it’s real and full of life. You have the markets nearby and the railway station isn't far off either. Most days, we are just busy keeping the rooms sorted and talking to the folks who stay here. It's mostly travelers who want to be near the center of everything without spending a lot of money. The building itself is just a regular structure on a crowded street. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the water takes a minute to get warm, but we get it fixed. It’s just how things work in an old area like this. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a hotel where you can put your bags down and rest for a bit. The staff knows the local spots for tea and snacks, so we usually just point people in the right direction. Every morning, the street noise starts up early. You hear the vendors and the scooters. It’s got a specific kind of energy. We just keep the rooms ready and wait for the next person.
