Vashist Marbles

We’ve been running Vashist Marbles from 101 C for a long time. It’s a straightforward setup we have here. Working with marble is heavy work and it’s usually pretty messy with all the dust and the cutting. We aren’t really the type to have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s mostly just us, some tools, and the stone. People come to 101 C when they are building something or fixing up a floor. We spend our days moving slabs and making sure everything is measured right. It’s a lot of physical labor, so by the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired. The space at 101 C isn't anything special to look at, but it works for what we do. We’ve gotten to know the regular delivery guys and the neighbors pretty well over the years. It feels like a normal part of the day now, just waking up and heading to the shop. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the marble without breaking it. You have to be careful with this stuff because once it cracks, that’s it. We just keep our heads down and do the job. It’s a simple life, and being at 101 C feels like home to us by now. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure we get through the pile of work we have in front of us.
