Dev Enterprises is located at X-211 in Gandhi Nagar, specifically on Tagore Gali. If you know Gandhi Nagar, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can be, especially Tagore Gali. We are right in the thick of it. Our shop is mostly filled with textile-related items and general merchandise, which is typical for this part of town. It’s a very busy area with people constantly moving rolls of fabric and bags of goods on handcarts. We spend a lot of our day coordinating with suppliers and making sure our stock levels are right. The space inside is tight because we try to utilize every inch for storage. We don’t have a fancy display window. Most people just know us by the sign out front and the fact that we’ve been here for years. My brother and I run the place with a few helpers. It gets very hot in the summer, so we have a couple of heavy-duty fans going all day. Dealing with the traffic in Gandhi Nagar is a daily challenge, but it's part of the job. We have our regulars who come in every week to see what’s new. We don't do much in the way of formal meetings; we just talk while we work. It’s a simple, hardworking life in a very busy market. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door.
