Expeditions To India

Our office is on Dharamshala Road, right near the Mother Dairy at Plot No. 170. It is a very handy location because almost everyone in the area knows where the dairy is. Expeditions To India is basically a small team of us sitting around desks with old maps and phone chargers. We spend most of the day talking to drivers or trying to figure out train schedules that always seem to be changing. It is not a polished travel agency like the ones you see in the big malls. We have some old posters on the walls and a lot of notebooks scattered around with handwritten notes. People walk in looking for a way to get to the mountains or just need a car for the day. Since we are on the road heading toward the busier parts of the district, it gets noisy with the trucks passing by. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for travel confirmations to come through. Sometimes a trip goes perfectly and other times a road is blocked, and we have to spend hours on the phone. That is just how travel works in this part of the world. We do not use any fancy software, just what we know from years of being on these roads ourselves. It is a bit of a messy job, but it keeps us busy. We just try to help people get from one place to another.
