Dhanishta Marbles

We are tucked into Plot No-11-C, Nwa, over in Punjabi Bagh. It is a busy area, and there is always something going on in the streets around us. Our shop is filled with marble slabs that we have brought in. Most days start with a cup of tea and then we get to moving the heavy stuff. It is a tight space sometimes, especially when a big delivery comes in and we have to figure out where to put everything without blocking the way. Customers wander in from the neighborhood, usually looking for something specific for a bathroom or a hallway. We just show them what is in the racks. It is not a shiny showroom. There are chips of stone on the floor and the walls are a bit scuffed from moving the slabs around. We do our own lifting and loading most of the time. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we are too busy out back with the stone. Punjabi Bagh is a good place to be, but it gets frantic in the afternoons with all the traffic. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come. It is simple work, just buying and selling stone and making sure it gets where it needs to go. My hands are usually rough from the granite, but that is just part of the job here at the plot.
