Delhi Empire Deluxe Hotel is on Arakashan Road in Paharganj. If you know Delhi, you know this street is always packed. We are right opposite New Sanjeevan Hospital. The number is 8678, but sometimes the signs are hard to see with all the other hotels and shops around. It’s a chaotic place with rickshaws, tourists, and delivery bikes constantly moving. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with the daily madness of the area. The building is old but we keep it running. Most of our day is spent checking people in and out, answering the phone, and making sure the rooms are okay. It’s not a quiet retreat by any means. You can hear the city through the windows even late at night. The hospital across the way brings in a lot of people too. We don’t have a big lobby or anything like that. It’s a practical place for people who need to be near the railway station. We handle the laundry, the keys, and the constant questions from travelers who are usually a bit lost. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on our feet. We don’t use fancy systems; we just do things the old-fashioned way. Paharganj isn't for everyone, but we like the energy of it. We just try to provide a roof and a bed for whoever shows up at the door. Some days the water pressure is better than others, but we fix things as they break. It’s just how we run things in this part of town.
