Daas Marble

We've been at Shop No 4 in the W.H.S area of Kirti Nagar for a while now. It's a busy spot, but we like it here. People come by looking for marble for their homes, and we just show them what we have in stock. My brother and I usually handle the daily stuff. It gets dusty, and the slabs are heavy, so there's always work to be done. We keep things straightforward. You walk in, look at the stone, and we tell you the price. No big sales pitch. Sometimes the inventory changes fast, depending on what comes in from the trucks. The yard is 1/8, so it’s not huge, but we make use of the space. Most of our neighbors are in the same trade, so it’s a tight community. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. If you’re around Kirti Nagar, you probably know where we are. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights. It’s just marble on the floor and leaning against walls. Sometimes the phone rings too much, and other times it's quiet. We just take it as it comes. Usually, people want something that looks good but doesn't cost a fortune. We try to help with that. It’s hard work moving these stones around, but it’s what we do. We’ve seen a lot of trends come and go, but marble stays pretty popular. That's about it really.
