Sk Marble & Granites

We are located at Plot No. 961 in Chattarpur, right next to Tivoli Garden. It is a pretty easy landmark to find if you are coming down that way. Sk Marble & Granites is mostly an open yard because you need a lot of space for these big pieces of stone. It is not like a regular shop where everything is on shelves. We have granites and marbles leaning against each other in long rows. When the sun is out, the polished surfaces can be really bright, almost blinding. When it rains, the whole plot gets a bit muddy, but we just put on boots and keep moving. There is always the sound of the crane or the water used for cutting and cleaning the stone. Being next to Tivoli Garden means we see a lot of wedding traffic nearby, which can make the roads a bit of a nightmare on certain dates. We just stay in our yard and handle the loads. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the measurements are right. We do not do much fancy talk here. If someone wants stone, they come in, look at the slabs, and we tell them what is available. It is a honest day's work and by the time we close up, everyone is usually pretty tired from the physical labor of it all. We just clean up the tools and get ready to do it again tomorrow morning.
