The office for Alpha Future Airport Retail is at C-144 on the ground floor in Prashant Vihar. It’s a pretty standard area in North Delhi. Being on the ground floor is handy because we have a lot of stuff coming in and out, and it’s easier than hauling boxes up a flight of stairs. We deal with retail stuff for the airport, so there is always a lot of inventory to keep track of. The office isn't very large, just enough room for a few desks and some storage space. Prashant Vihar is a nice enough neighborhood with a lot of families around. We can hear the traffic from the main road, but the street we are on is usually okay. We spend a lot of our time on computers, checking orders and making sure the supplies are getting to where they need to go. It’s a lot of logistical work that people don't really see. Sometimes we go out for a quick lunch at one of the small shops nearby. We don't have any big corporate signs or a fancy reception area. It’s just us, some boxes, and a lot of spreadsheets. The ground floor gets a bit dusty because of the wind in Delhi, so we are always dusting off the desks. It is a plain and simple workplace where we focus on getting the retail items sorted. That is basically what happens every day at C-144.
