Kalkaji is a busy area, but our focus is always on the farms and the people who work the land. We spend a lot of time thinking about tractors, plows, and all the other iron that goes into farming. Our workshop is where the real work happens. It’s a place of heavy lifting and heat. We often have large pieces of equipment taking up all the floor space, which makes it hard to move around sometimes. We aren’t really the type for office meetings or fancy reports. We’d much rather be out there fixing a broken axle or welding a frame back together. The P.O. Box has seen a lot of mail over the years, from orders to simple thank-you notes from farmers. It’s a tough business because things always seem to break at the worst possible time, usually right in the middle of harvest. We try to keep a stock of the parts that fail most often so we can get people moving again quickly. Working in the agro industry means you have to understand the seasons and how much pressure the farmers are under. We just do our part here in Kalkaji to keep things turning. It’s dirty, heavy work, but someone has to do it, and we happen to be good at it.
