Our yard at Plot No-35 in Sector 23 is right in the heart of the marble market. If you come by J. B. Marbles Pvt. Ltd, you’ll probably find us covered in a bit of white dust. That is just how it is when you work with stone all day. The lot is filled with stacks of slabs that have come from all over. We spend most of our time out there in the open, checking the edges and moving things around with the crane. It is heavy work and the sun can be quite brutal in the afternoons. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small room where we keep the invoices and take a seat when the legs get tired. The marble market is a competitive place, with trucks constantly coming and going on the narrow roads. We've seen a lot of businesses come and go in Sector 23, but we just keep doing our thing at Plot 35. You learn to tell the quality of a piece just by the way it sounds when you tap it. Most of our regulars are local contractors who have been coming to us for years. We don't bother with big advertisements or glossy brochures. People just know where to find us. It’s a messy, loud, and honest way to make a living. We just focus on the stone and the orders we have to fill.
