Singh Engineering Works

Over at C-2 in the M. I. D. C. Satpur area is where we keep the shop for Singh Engineering Works. This part of Nashik is full of engineering shops, and we’ve been part of the landscape here for a while. Our workshop is a straightforward setup with the usual tools—welding sets, drills, and some heavy benches. It’s a bit noisy when everyone is working at once, but that’s the sound of things getting made. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just the owner and a handful of skilled guys who know their way around metal. We get a lot of walk-in business from people who need something welded or a part fabricated for their own projects. We don't do much in the way of fancy brochures or sales pitches. We just look at what needs to be done, give a price, and get to it. The road out front in Satpur MIDC is usually busy with motorcycles and small tempos. Sometimes we have to move our work outside to the edge of the gate if the piece is too big to turn around easily inside. We take our tea at the same time every afternoon and usually close up once the sun starts to go down. It’s a good, honest way to spend the day. We’ve been doing it this way for years and see no reason to change. We just keep our heads down and work.
