Out here in the Malegaon MIDC area in Sinnar, things are mostly industrial and quiet compared to the big cities. We’re located at B-48, and that’s where Mack Pharmatech operates. We make equipment for labs and pharmaceutical companies, mostly things like stability chambers or specialized ovens. It’s a lot of metalwork and wiring. The workshop floor is usually where you’ll find most of us, wearing our work gear and trying to get a machine calibrated just right. It’s precise work, but we talk about it in very normal terms. No one here uses big corporate words. We just say what needs to be done and do it. The dust from the industrial area sometimes gets into the office, so we’re always cleaning. We’ve had some of the same guys working the machines for years now, and they know the quirks of every tool we own. Lunch usually happens together, talking about local news or whatever is going on in Sinnar. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything; we just rely on making stuff that doesn’t break. If a client has a problem, they just call us up and we talk them through it. It’s a straightforward way of doing business that seems to work for us. We just keep building things and sending them out to the labs that need them. It is a steady way to earn a living in this part of the country.
