We have been here at number 667 for a long time now. It is right near the Gaolipaga Maruti Mandir in Akola, so most people know the spot. The street gets busy during the morning prayers. We mostly deal with the regular pharma supplies. It isn't a huge setup, just a practical place where we keep things organized and handle the local requirements. Some days the weather in Akola is too hot to even think, but we keep the fans going and get through the stock. Dealing with medicines means we have to stay careful about the dates and the storage. There’s a lot of paperwork that comes with it, more than people realize. My desk is usually covered in folders and delivery notes. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It's just a working space with shelves and computers. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning in the narrow lane near the temple, so we have to go out and help them guide the way. It’s just how it is here. Most of the people who come by are regulars from the neighborhood or nearby towns. We know most of them by name. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It's a quiet kind of work most of the time, except when the festivals are on at the Mandir and the whole street is full of people.
