Ensons Gauges & Tools Pvt. Ltd. is situated at F-108 in the M.I.D.C. area of Ambad, Nashik. If you’ve been to Nashik’s industrial zones, you know what it’s like. It’s a lot of grey buildings and the sound of hammers and drills. We make gauges and tools. It’s the kind of work that requires you to pay attention. One small mistake and the whole thing is scrap. Our shop floor isn't air-conditioned, so we feel the weather. In the winters, it’s nice, but the summers are tough. We have a loyal crew. Some of them have been here since the start. We don't have a HR department or a PR team. If there’s a problem, we talk about it over lunch or while cleaning the equipment. The office is just a couple of desks with old computers and plenty of paper files. We don't use much software; we prefer notebooks. People call us for tools because they know we’ve been in Ambad for years. We aren't looking to be the biggest company in Maharashtra. We just want to make sure the gauges we send out are right. The trucks come and go, the morning shift starts at eight, and we do it all over again the next day. It’s a practical life, and we’re used to it by now. We just stay focused on the metal and the measurements.
