Aashay Constructions Private Limited operates out of a row house over in Matoshree Park. It’s No. 14, tucked away in Omkar Nagar near Peth Road. It’s a quiet enough spot until we start moving equipment around. We aren't a huge corporation with a glass building; we just work out of this house and spend most of our time out on the roads or at different building spots. Most mornings start with a quick meeting to see who is going where and which truck is actually running today. Construction is a messy business, and our boots usually show it. We’ve been around this part of town for a bit, so we know the local quirks of the land and the weather. Sometimes the rain messes up the schedule, and we have to scramble to cover things up. It’s just how it is. We deal with the planning, the digging, and the actual building part. People around Peth Road probably see our vehicles coming and going quite a bit. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is something good about seeing a project actually finished and standing tall. We keep our files in the back room and our tools wherever they fit. If the phone rings, someone usually picks it up eventually, unless we're all out on a site visit. It’s a small team, we know each other well, and we just get on with the work.
