A1 Bricks

A1 Bricks is located right on Eklayara Road, over in the Mahalaxmi Nagar area of Nasik Road. We’ve been operating out of this part of Nasik for a while now. The weather here is usually decent, which helps a lot with the brick-making process. We’ve got a good sized plot where we mix the clay and set the bricks out to dry under the sun for as long as needed. It's a bit of a trek for some, but Eklayara Road is a main path for a lot of the transport trucks moving through the region. My father started this business, and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We aren't a big corporation with departments and managers. It’s just me and a handful of workers who have been doing this since they were young. We talk about the local news while we work, and someone usually brings a radio to listen to some music during the long afternoons. The bricks we make are used for all sorts of houses around the district. We don't spend money on ads or big signs. Most people just see the stacks of bricks when they drive past Mahalaxmi Nagar and stop in to check the prices. Sometimes the rains in Nasik can be a bit much and we have to cover everything up with plastic sheets in a huge hurry. It’s all part of the job. We just try to do right by the people who buy from us.
