Vidya Grammar High School

People around Nalgonda know where we are. It’s a busy spot but once you get inside the gates of Vidya Grammar High School, things quiet down a bit. We’ve been here for a good while now. The building isn’t brand new or anything, but it stays cool in the summer which is what matters. Most of the teachers live just a few streets away, so they know the families here. In the mornings, you’ll see kids walking in with their bags, some running because they’re late for the bell. We have a playground that gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up, but the kids don't seem to mind much when they’re playing football or just sitting under the trees. The classrooms have high ceilings and old wooden desks that have seen a lot of students pass through over the years. We spend our days making sure the kids actually learn something and don’t just stare out the windows. It’s a lot of noise during the breaks, then total silence when classes start. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows wider to let the air in. We don't have fancy gadgets everywhere, just chalkboards and books. Parents stop by the office to chat about their kids or pay fees, and it’s usually just a quick hello. It is a simple place where we try to keep things moving along properly every single day for everyone involved.
