Navodaya Model School

You can find Navodaya Model School at the Kurmed X Road in Chinthapally. It’s a busy junction in the Devarakonda area of Nalgonda. Being at a crossroads means there’s always something going on outside our gates. We have a decent-sized building where we host our classes. It’s a regular school day for us, starting early and finishing up in the afternoon. The kids come from all around the Chinthapally area. Some walk and some come by local transport. We have the usual classrooms with the standard desks and chairs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold the posters and drawings the kids make just fine. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just a local school trying to do right by the students. The teachers here are mostly from the surrounding villages, so they understand the background of the kids. We have a small area where they can play during the lunch break. It gets pretty loud then, but it’s a good kind of noise. Nalgonda can be a dry place, so we keep some water tanks filled for everyone. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment. We focus on the syllabus and making sure the daily schedule is followed. There isn't much more to it than that. We are just a part of the local landscape here at the crossroads, doing what we can for the students who come through our doors.
