Gayathri High School

You’ll find Gayathri High School over in Sai Nagar Colony, which is right by the bus stop here in Valigonda. Being so close to the stop makes it easy for the kids who live a bit further out in Nalgonda. It’s a local school where most of the staff lives nearby. We don’t have a massive campus, but we make the most of the space we have. Every morning starts with the sound of the bus arriving and children walking through the gates. We spend our time checking attendance and getting the day’s lessons started. The classrooms are simple and we try to keep them cool during the hot months. There is a lot of chatter during the breaks, and that’s when the place really feels alive. We know the parents and we see them at the market or around the colony. It’s that kind of neighborhood. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just teaching the subjects and making sure the kids are doing their work. Sometimes we have to fix the playground equipment or tidy up the front area. The building is a familiar sight to anyone living in the Bongiri area. We keep things straightforward. If a kid is struggling, we talk to them. If the roof leaks, we fix it. It’s a busy life but it feels good to be part of the town. We've been here for many years now and the routine stays the same every morning.
