Woodbridge School

Woodbridge School is tucked away at Dob Lewshal on the Sattal Road in Bhowali. Being up here in Nainital means the air is a bit thinner and a lot colder than down in the plains. The school sits on a bit of a hill, and you have to walk up a path to get to the main entrance. It’s a quiet area, mostly trees and the sound of the wind, until the students arrive. The building has a lot of wood in it, which fits the mountain setting. We don't have a big fancy gymnasium, just some space outdoors where the kids can run around when it isn't raining. The mist often rolls in during the afternoons, making the whole place look a bit gray. We keep the classrooms as warm as we can, but everyone usually wears heavy sweaters. It’s a small school, so everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or shiny new equipment. It’s just desks, chairs, and teachers who know their subjects. The road out front can get busy with tourists heading to the lakes, but we are far enough back that it doesn't bother us much. It’s a simple life up here in the hills. We just try to keep the school running smoothly and make sure the kids are learning what they need to know. The roof leaks a bit when it snows, but we just fix it and carry on.
