The Brook Dale Residential School

We’ve been running The Brook Dale Residential School here in Mehragoan for a while now. It’s right on Sattal Road, which gets quite a lot of people passing through during the tourist season, but back here where the school is, it stays mostly quiet. Living in Nai, near Nainital, things are a bit different than the plains. The mornings are usually cold and we start things early before the fog really lifts. Since it is a residential school, the kids are here all the time, so it feels more like a big house than just a building where people go for work. We have the usual classrooms and places for the students to sleep, and they spend a lot of time outside when the weather is decent. It’s 263132 for the postal code if anyone is sending mail. The road up here can be a bit winding, but you get used to it after driving it every day. Most of us here just focus on keeping things running smoothly, making sure the kitchen has enough food and the heaters are working when winter hits. It’s not a fancy setup, just a regular place where kids learn and live. We see the same faces every day, from the local shopkeepers in Mehragoan to the staff who walk in from the nearby spots. It’s a busy life, mostly because the kids are always around, but that’s just how it is here.
