Vaisnovi Beauty Parlour

The parlour is situated at Plot No 36 in Somlwada. We are right on Wardha Road in Nagpur. It’s quite easy to spot if you are near Sanit Nagar. I’ve been working here for a long time. The shop is small and simple. I usually start my morning by sweeping the front step and getting the water ready. Since it is on Wardha Road, there is a lot of noise from the trucks and buses going by, but once you step inside, it is a bit quieter. I know most of the women in the neighborhood. They come in for threading or a quick hair wash. It is more of a community spot than just a business. We talk about the local news or what’s happening in the market while I work. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels comfortable. I keep my scissors sharp and my threads ready. Sometimes my daughter helps out when things get busy during the wedding season. Somlwada is a nice area, a bit away from the main city rush but still busy enough. I don't use any big machines or fancy gadgets, just my hands and what I learned years ago. It’s an honest living. The light in the shop is best in the late afternoon. I usually close up once the streetlights come on. People know where to find me if they need anything.
