Trimurti Hair Dressers

Nagpur can get really hot, especially in the afternoons. Our shop, Trimurti Hair Dressers, is located here in the 440008 area. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, though we get a rush in the evenings when everyone is heading home from their jobs. I started this place because I knew how to cut hair and wanted to work for myself. The interior is nothing special, just some sturdy chairs and big mirrors that have seen a lot of faces over the years. I spend most of my day standing on my feet, snip-snipping away. You get used to the smell of aftershave and the sound of the radio playing softly in the corner. People in Nagpur like to talk, so there is never a dull moment in the shop. We talk about cricket or the price of things at the market. I try to keep the place tidy, but hair gets everywhere by midday. My hands are always busy with the clippers or the razor. It’s a basic shop for basic needs. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows the name Trimurti around these streets. I like the routine of it all. Opening up, sharpening the tools, and seeing who walks through the door next. It's just a regular local business trying to do honest work for the people living nearby. There is no point in being too fancy when people just want a good haircut and a bit of conversation.
