The Perfect Gift Shop

You can find us at Shop Number 5 in Chicago Apartment on Nara Road. Jaripatka is a lively area and we’ve been part of it for a bit now. We sell various gift items for different occasions. The shop isn't huge, but we try to keep the shelves full so there is plenty to look at. Sometimes the displays get a little dusty because there’s so much stuff, but we try our best to keep it tidy. It’s mostly just me and a helper running things day to day. We get a lot of regulars from the apartments nearby who need something last minute. We don't use a fancy computer system or anything, just a notebook for keeping track of what we sell. It feels more personal that way. People stop in just to chat sometimes, which is nice. The Nara Road traffic can be a headache, but it brings people past our door. We’ve got all sorts of things, from small trinkets to bigger items. We don't really do big sales or anything like that. We just price things fairly and hope people like what they see. It’s a quiet life mostly, except for when the festival seasons start and everyone is looking for a present. Then it gets a bit frantic in here. The lighting in the back corner of the shop is a bit dim because the bulb flickers and we haven't found the right ladder to reach it yet. It’s funny how those small tasks just stay on the to-do list for weeks. We just tell people to bring things toward the front window.
