Durga Mata General Stores & Gifts

Our store is situated right on the Ring Road, quite close to the Manjari Restaurant in the Manewada area. Being near a popular eating spot means we get a lot of people who are just passing through or waiting for their food to be packed. We sell a bit of everything. On one side, we have general grocery items and household supplies, and on the other, we have a selection of gifts. There are usually some cricket bats, some plastic dolls, and decorative pieces like flower vases for the living room. The traffic on the Ring Road is constant, so there’s always a bit of noise from the trucks and cars zooming past. We have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit for a minute to rest. The shop isn't very large, so we’ve packed the shelves all the way to the top. You might need us to grab something from the high shelves with a ladder or a long stick. It’s a simple place with plain walls and overhead tube lights. We see a lot of travelers who realized they forgot to buy a gift for someone they are visiting in the city. We also have basic stuff like batteries, notebooks, and snacks for the road. It’s a practical shop for the local residents and the people on the move. We’ve been here long enough that the regular commuters recognize the shop as they drive by every morning and evening on their way to work.
