The Dream Family Beauty Parlour

Our parlor is out on Umred Road in the Dighori area of Nagpur. If you are near Telephone Nagar, you are basically right there. We call it a family parlor because we get everyone coming in, from little kids who are scared of the scissors to the grandparents who just want a quick trim. It is a simple place on a busy road. The dust from the street comes in sometimes when the door stays open too long, so we are always dusting off the counters. We have some colorful chairs for the children and bigger ones for the adults. The walls are painted a light color to make it feel a bit bigger than it actually is. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so when you walk in, you just grab a seat and wait for one of us to be free. We listen to the radio or just talk about what is happening in Dighori. Sometimes the kids cry a bit, but we are used to it and we keep some sweets to help them calm down. It is not a fancy spa, just a practical place for families to get their grooming done without any fuss. We work long hours but it feels good to see the same faces every month and help people look a bit neater.
