Sushalik Restaurant

Sushalik is located on Plot No 26/10, right on the Sakkardara Police Station Road. We are quite close to Neha Pustakalay, so a lot of people who come to buy books or magazines end up stopping by our door. Nagpur gets very hot, so we try to keep the place as comfortable as we can for anyone walking in from the street. It’s a busy area with a lot of traffic and people heading toward the police station or the local shops. The restaurant isn't very large, but we've squeezed in enough tables for the lunch rush. We don't have a professional decorator; we just put up things we liked over the years. My brother handles the kitchen, and I usually stay at the front to see who is coming in. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first opened our doors here in Sakkardara. Some of our customers have been coming to us since they were kids, and now they bring their own families. It’s just a regular neighborhood eating house. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. If the food is hot and the water is cold, most people are happy. We spend most of our time just making sure everything is clean and the ingredients are fresh from the market every morning. It’s a lot of routine, but we like the work and the people we meet.
