AMARJEET BAR AND RESTAURANTS

In Nagpur, things can get pretty hot, so being at AMARJEET BAR AND RESTAURANTS in Padole chambers is a relief. We are right on Gandhi BHAG road in Gandhibagh, 440018. The best landmark is the Citi Bus Stop right across from us. You see the buses pulling in and out all day long, and there’s always a crowd of people waiting over there. Our place is usually filled with folks coming off work or just wanting to sit down for a drink after a long day in the city. I spend most of my time behind the counter or checking on the kitchen. The building, Padole chambers, is a well-known spot in Gandhibagh, so we get a lot of foot traffic. It’s a noisy area, with all the horns and the people talking, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed. We don't really have a corporate style; it’s more about being a place where you can just be yourself. I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the bus stop is always there. Sometimes we stay open quite late, and you see a different side of Nagpur then. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but it’s what I know. We don't try to be something we’re not, just a regular bar and restaurant for the local crowd in Gandhibagh. We have some old posters on the walls and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s comfortable enough.
