Bhavesh Restaurant

In Nagpur, Gandhibagh is a very crowded area. Our restaurant is right opposite the Corporation Office. Because of the office, we get a lot of government workers coming in. They have their fixed lunch hours so we have to be ready by noon. The place is not big, but we make it work. We have got Bhavesh Restaurant painted on a board outside. It has been there for years and the sun has faded the letters a bit. We do not mind. Inside, it is mostly about the food. We make a lot of local Nagpur style dishes. The spice levels are usually high because that is how people here like it. We have a small staff. Most of them have been with us since the start. We treat them like family. We do not have any corporate rules. If someone is tired, they sit down for a bit. If someone is hungry, they eat. It is a very human way of running a business. The Gandhibagh market is right there, so it is never quiet. You hear the horns and the shouting all day. We just focus on the pots on the stove. We buy our grains in bulk and store them in the back. Everything is sorted by hand. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We do not want to be a chain. Just this one shop in Nagpur is enough for us.
