Serving In Co-Op Bank

Serving In Co-Op Bank is based in Sadanand Colony which is in Daryapur in the Amravati district. We are right there at the post-office area of Daryapur. Working in a co-operative bank setting in a place like this is quite different from the big city banks. Most of the people who come in are locals who we see every day at the market or around the colony. Our office is a plain building with the usual counters and benches for people to sit while they wait. It can get quite busy on market days when everyone comes into town from the surrounding villages. We spend our time counting cash, updating passbooks, and talking to folks about their accounts. There is a lot of manual work involved and we have to be very careful with the entries. Sadanand Colony is a quiet place for the most part so we don't have too much noise from traffic. We usually walk to work or take a cycle because everything is quite close by. The staff here is small and we all help each other out when the line gets long. We don't have any air conditioning so we just leave the doors open for some air. It is a simple life and the work is steady. We have been serving the people here for a long time and they know they can just walk in and talk to us.
