Satish Hair Salun

Satish Hair Salun is located right in the middle of Nagpur, specifically in the 440001 area. It's a small shop where we spend most of our day. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us working the chairs. The city can be hot, so we try to keep things comfortable inside for whoever walks in. People come in for all sorts of reasons, sometimes just for a quick trim or a clean shave before an event. We’ve seen the streets change over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. We use the same kind of combs and scissors we always have. There’s always hair on the floor that needs sweeping, and the smell of aftershave is pretty much stuck in the walls by now. We don't really do advertisements or anything like that. Most people know us because they live nearby or work in the local shops. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We talk about the weather, the local news, or whatever is happening in Nagpur that day. It isn't a high-end place with fancy lights, just a regular salon for regular people. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out with the door open. That’s just how it is running a business here. We keep the mirrors clean and the blades sharp, and that's enough to keep us going from Monday to Sunday.
