Saara Chemicals Industries

Saara Chemicals Industries is situated at Plot No 13 in Shanti Nagar. We are right in the Saibaba Nagar area of Dhudheshwar. The place is filled with blue plastic drums and heavy sacks of powders stacked up to the ceiling. It is an industrial neighborhood, so there are always trucks moving through the narrow streets. Inside the plant, the air has a sharp, chemical smell that stays on your clothes long after you leave for the day. We spend most of the shift measuring out ingredients and watching the mixers go around. It is important to keep things clean, but with all the liquids and powders, the floor always has a few stains on it. We wear rubber boots and gloves most of the time because some of the stuff we handle can be a bit harsh on the skin. There is a small desk in the corner where we keep the logs and the delivery notes, but most of the work happens on the floor. It is not the quietest place to work with the sound of the pumps and the fans going all the time. Neighbors in Shanti Nagar are used to the activity at the plot. We just keep our heads down and make sure the batches are filled into the containers properly so they can be sent out to the customers who need them for their own factories.
