Priya Chemicals

Priya Chemicals is located right at Shahid Chowk in the Itwari area. If you’ve ever been to this part of town near Resham Oli, you know how packed it gets. There are people, carts, and vehicles everywhere you look. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s an old building and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it serves its purpose. We deal with various chemicals and materials, so the shop is usually full of stacked bags and containers. There’s a lot of dust from the street that blows in, so we are constantly wiping things down. We’ve been here for a long time and we know almost everyone on the block. The atmosphere is very traditional. We sit on our stools, talk to the customers who walk in, and drink tea while we wait for the next delivery. It’s a very hands-on job. We don’t use much technology besides a basic computer for the bills. Most of our work is done through conversations and old-fashioned record-keeping. It gets very loud during the festival seasons, but that is just how Itwari is. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks professional. We just have our reputation in the market and the products we sell. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work every day. We wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a quiet office.
