S K Hair Salon is down on Wcl Road in the Jaripatka neighborhood of Nagpur. We are located pretty close to Apex Hospital. It is a small shop, mainly for haircuts and shaves. We have a couple of old-fashioned barber chairs that are actually very comfortable once you sit down. The mirrors have some stickers on the edges from over the years. We keep the spray bottles filled and the towels clean for every person. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so the fan is always on high speed. It can get a bit noisy in here when the TV is on and people are talking about the daily news. We don't have any fancy lighting or expensive decor. It is just a regular place for regular men. We see a lot of people who work nearby or live in the narrow lanes of Jaripatka. Sometimes the doctor from the hospital even stops by for a quick trim during his break. We have a small wooden bench for waiting and a stack of newspapers. Most people just want a simple cut and to be on their way. We don't try to sell you any expensive products you don't really need. If the scissors are sharp and the hand is steady, that’s enough for us. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. The street outside is always full of scooters and people walking by. It feels like home to us.
