Roochida Spices Private Limited

You can find our office and storage over at Gopal Super Bazar, right on Old Cotton Market Road. It’s one of those older parts of town where the roads are narrow and there are always carts and bikes everywhere. Roochida Spices Private Limited sounds like a very official name, but we are just a small group of people working in a pretty crowded space. We spend the better part of every morning checking the new stock that comes in from the market nearby. It gets very loud around here. There is always someone shouting or a truck backing up into a tight spot. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything to show off. It’s mostly just shelves and stacks of bags piled up to the ceiling. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep our energy up. The smell of the spices is so strong that it stays in your clothes even after you wash them. If you’re walking down the road, you’ll definitely smell us before you actually see our sign. We try to keep everything organized, but it feels like a constant battle with the bags. Some of us have been working here for a decade. It’s a job we know inside and out. We don’t bother with websites or anything like that. We just have the shop and the regulars who stop by on their way home. It’s a practical way to live. We just do our thing and hope the weather stays clear.
