Rajesh Bhojnalaya

Rajesh Bhojnalaya is situated on Bus Stand Road in Ganesh Peth, right opposite the S T Bus Stand in Nagpur. This area is always full of movement because of all the travelers coming in and out of the city. We have been operating from this shop for quite some time now. Our morning routine involves getting the fire started and boiling the lentils and rice for the day ahead. The space isn't very big, so we have to be very organized with where we keep the sacks of grain and the crates of vegetables. Most of our customers are people who are just passing through and need a quick, hot meal. They don't want anything complicated, just some rice, roti, and sabzi. We make sure there is plenty of water on the tables and that the food is served as soon as it is ready from the kitchen. The noise from the bus stand is something we have gotten used to over the years; it’s like background music to our daily work. Sometimes when it rains, the area gets a bit muddy, but people still find their way to us for a plate of food. We don't have a marketing team or any glossy brochures. We just open the shutters in the morning and stay until the last of the dinner crowd has left. It’s a simple life of cooking and serving people.
