You can find Rajesh Bhojnalay & Restaurant at shop number one, right across from the New S T Stand in Ganesh Peth, Nagpur. Being so close to the bus stand means our day is dictated by the bus schedules. When a bus arrives, we get a sudden rush of hungry people who are usually in a hurry to eat before their next connection. We have to work fast during those times to make sure no one misses their ride. The rest of the day is a bit more relaxed. We have a simple menu with the usual stuff you’d expect at a local bhojnalay. The interior is plain, with basic tables and benches that are easy to wipe down. We spend a lot of time cleaning because the dust from the road and the bus stand comes in quite a bit. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, with a few helpers who have been with us for a while. We aren't trying to be a high-end restaurant with air conditioning and soft music. It’s just a place for a solid meal that fills your stomach without costing too much money. We see all kinds of people, from students traveling back home to workers taking a break from the nearby markets. It’s noisy outside with the buses honking and people shouting, but inside we just focus on the cooking and making sure the food is ready.
