Our factory is situated at B-7/1 in the MIDC area of Butibori. It is a long drive to get out here from the main part of Nagpur, especially when the traffic is heavy. The industrial estate is huge and every turn looks the same if you aren't paying attention. We work with resins, so there is always a specific smell hanging in the air inside the plant. It is not a bad smell, just something you get used to after a week. The floors are concrete and usually have some spills or marks from the drums we move around. We have a lot of large tanks and mixing equipment that take up most of the floor space. During the summer, the heat inside the shed becomes very intense, even with the big exhaust fans running. We wear heavy boots and gear to stay safe while we handle the raw materials. Our schedule follows the shifts, so the machines are almost always humming. We get raw materials delivered in big trucks and then we have to process them into the final product. It involves a lot of watching gauges and checking temperatures. We eat our meals in a small corner we cleared out for a table. It is hard work and the days are long, but we just keep the production line moving as it should. There is always something to clean or a valve to check.
