Padam Shree Masale

You can find us at Plot No. 516 in Ladpura Itwari. We are right near the Bijasen Mandir, so we get to hear the bells and the prayers every day. Padam Shree Masale is a small family-run kind of thing. We spend our time sorting through raw spices and getting them ready for grinding. It's not a clean, white-lab kind of place. It’s a working shop with sacks piled up and machines running. We are often covered in a bit of turmeric or chili powder by the end of the shift. The neighborhood is quite traditional, and we fit right in. We don't spend money on fancy flyers or big websites. Most people find us because they live nearby or they've heard about us from a neighbor. The building we are in has been around for ages. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in, and we have to move everything around to make space. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, which keeps us busy. We like the routine of it. Every morning we open the shutters, air the place out, and start the machines. It’s a honest day's work and we’ve been doing it this way since we started. Nothing much has changed over the years, and that’s fine with us. We just focus on getting the grinding done and the bags filled so the local kitchens have what they need for the evening meals and daily cooking.
