Nutan Hair Cutting

Nutan Hair Cutting is a small place tucked away in Trimurti Nager, right off the Ring Road in Nagpur. Being on the Ring Road means there is always a lot of noise from the heavy trucks and cars passing by all the time. It can get quite hot in Nagpur, so we keep the door wide open to catch whatever breeze comes our way. The shop is pretty basic inside. We have some old mirrors on the wall and a couple of wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People just come in, say hello to us, and wait. We do all kinds of basic hair cutting for the men around here. Most of our customers are people who live right here in Trimurti Nager or workers who pass by on the road. We have a small radio that usually plays some old songs in the background. It helps pass the time when things are slow in the afternoons. The floor is made of old tiles that have seen better days, but we keep them as clean as we can with a mop. Running a hair cutting shop in a place like this isn't about being famous. It is just about providing a service to the local people so they don't have to go too far. We've been here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the street.
