Kapil Salon

Kapil Salon is located in the Gajraj Building, which is right on Koradi Road in the Koradi area of Nagpur. If you know the Gajraj Complex, we are just near there. It’s a straightforward barber shop with the usual chairs and mirrors. We spend our whole day on our feet, cutting hair and talking to whoever sits in the chair. The noise from Koradi Road is always there in the background, with trucks and cars heading into Nagpur. Inside, we usually have a radio playing some local music. The floor is almost never completely clean because there’s always hair being cut, though we sweep it as often as we can. We have a couple of old fans that struggle against the Nagpur heat in the summer. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy coffee machine or a big lounge; just a few plastic chairs for people waiting their turn. Most of our customers are locals from the Koradi area who have been coming to us for years. We know their favorite styles and how they like their shaves. Sometimes we run out of water and have to wait for the tank to fill up. That’s just how life goes here. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for a decent haircut without any fuss or high prices. People usually come in after work for a quick trim before heading home for dinner with their families in the evening.
