Janta Gents Parlour

Our shop, Janta Gents Parlour, is located on Medical Road in the Hanuman Nagar area of Nagpur. If you know where Krida Chowk is, we are very close to that spot. It’s a busy road so there is always something going on outside. We have been cutting hair here for a long time. It’s a small space, but we make it work. Mostly we do haircuts, shaves, and the occasional head massage if someone is feeling tired. We don’t have fancy leather sofas, just some simple plastic chairs for waiting. My father started this place and now I help run it with a couple of others. We know most of the families around here. Often, a father will bring his son in for his first haircut, which is always a bit of a mess but we handle it. The equipment is old-fashioned but we keep it sharp and clean. We don’t really use social media to get customers, they just see the shop when they are passing by on Medical Road. It can get dusty because of the traffic, so we are always wiping things down. We aren't experts in the latest fashion trends from movies, but we can do a clean side-part or a buzz cut no problem. It’s just a quiet little spot to get cleaned up without spending too much money or time. We just open up early and stay until the work is done.
