Our place, Jai Maa Hair Salons, sits on Plot Number 1 in the Juni Shukrawari area of Reshim Baug. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Gandhi Putala here in Nagpur. It is a historic part of the city, and we feel lucky to have a spot right here. The shop is small and simple. We don't have any of those modern decorations or bright neon signs. It’s just a honest hair salon where men from the neighborhood come to get their hair cut or a shave. We've seen kids grow up in these chairs, coming in for their first haircut and now bringing their own kids. That's how it is in Nagpur; people stay loyal to their local spots. The area around Gandhi Putala is always full of life, with people walking by and shops opening up early. We usually start our day by cleaning the mirrors and checking our scissors. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat, even if they don’t need a haircut right then. We have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit and watch the world go by. It isn't a complicated business. We just do the work and try to be helpful to our neighbors. It’s been this way for years, and we don't see any reason to change it. Just a local shop for local people.
